Rarely do I go out of my way to advertise a specific product or retailer on the simple grounds that I love it so much.
But this is one of those times.
SierraTradingPost.com is the finest retailer on the entire internet. The best. The most dignified. Everything about it is fantastic. I have never in my life been so impressed with a company in terms of fulfilling my complete expectations.
What does this site pedal? Mostly outdoors equipment. But in their spare time they also carry the world’s finest suits. I’m talking about hand-made Napoli sartorial suits that are available exclusively in four place: Saks, Nieman Marcus, Barneys, and SierraTradingPost.com.
And their prices are UNREAL.
Recently I bought an Isaia Aquaspider sport coat for $573. If I were to walk into Barneys and try to buy the same exact garment, it would cost me $2850, and I know this because I just checked it out there. Same exact coat.
But it doesn’t stop there. Nope.
SierraTradingPost.com not only has prices that make you incontinent, but they also have the best customer service on the planet. They are based in Wyoming, and their locally based customer service team starts the day at 5AM strictly for my convenience. And when I call them about orders, they do not subject me to a labyrinth of automated responses. A human answers and talks to me without any delay or hold time.
And what happened when they lowered their price after I bought something? I called them and asked them to please credit the difference to my credit card.
And they did it.
God bless Sierra Trading Post and their fantastic company, service, and suits that are crafted perfectly. I shall now close with this vignette…
When I took my Isaia sport coat to be tailored at Patrick James, the old man from Naples who tailors the suits was so impressed with what I was wearing that he said, “This is the best suit maker in the world. They are handmade in my village, and they are the best in the business. You wait one moment, I go get Antonio.” Then he got Antonio from the back room so that he too could see the coat. Then the store manager came out because he wanted to see it too.
I’m awesome, yes, but only because of Sierra Trading Post.
